G3 – Field Trip to Milk Factory and Supermarket

第3学年　東毛酪農業協同組合とスーパーマーケット　社会科見学

3年生たちは、自分たちが食べるものがどのように手元に届くのかを学ぶために、牛乳工場の社会科見学を行いました。パックされ、飲む人たちに届けられる前の牛乳が貯蔵されている大きなタンクを間近で見ることができました。工場では牛以外にも、チーズ・バター・ヨーグルトなどの乳製品がつくられていることも学ぶことができました。見学の後は、工場からご厚意のコーヒー牛乳が配られ、美味しくいただきました。

次に、自分たちが普段食べている食品がどのように売られているかを学習するためにスーパーマーケット「とりせん」を見学しました。店長さんから、食品がスーパーに届けられてからどのようにお客さんに購入されているのか、貴重なお話を伺うことができました。また、食品包装ゴミを減らすためのリサイクルの取り組みなどについても学ぶことができました。

Grade 3 students went to a milk factory and toured the facility.  They saw the huge storage containers for holding milk before it is packaged and sent to the consumers.  They also learned that the factory makes other milk products such as cheese, butter and yogurt.  After their tour, students enjoyed a delicious sample of coffee flavored milk.

 They took another field trip to learn more about the foods we eat and drink.  They visited Torisen Supermarket.  A store manager told the students how food is delivered to the supermarket, and then bought by the consumers.  Also, students learned about the store’s recycling campaign to reduce waste in food packaging.
