A Typical Day in The Secondary School

F rom G7 to G10, the English Immersion Program is implemented based on the Japanese curriculum the same as the GKA Elementary School, with exceptions for mathematics, science and social studies which are partly conducted in Japanese.
In grade 11 and 12, the lessons are divided into two different courses: Japanese University Entrance course or International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. The Junior High has 6 lessons on Mondays and Thursdays, and 7 lessons on other weekdays. In the Senior High, students have classes for 7 hours every day.

Each student belongs to one homeroom and moves around according to lessons.
Lesson are taught by specially trained professional teachers.
Students have their own pocket notebooks and write down their schedule, assignments,Study plans, and reflections. Students foster self-management skill and lead to a next step.

The Student Council and Student Committee are active and we are planning to hold various school events. Many students join club activities after school. They are successful at the Junior /Senior High sports competitions, and the culture clubs are also popular. Every student enjoys their time at the club, practicing strenuously with friends. Also the library is open from 5 until 7pm for students as a self-study place.
