G11 – CSP (Collaborative Science Project)
On Friday, December 12, our Grade 11 students carried out the CSP (Collaborative Science Project).
The CSP is a compulsory collaborative science inquiry for all students in Group 4 (Sciences) of the IB Diploma Programme. Working in groups, students set their own research questions within a shared topic, then design and conduct experiments, analyze data, and develop their conclusions together.
This year’s common theme at our school was Sustainability.
Each group was intentionally composed of students studying Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and ESS (Environmental Systems and Societies), enabling interdisciplinary collaboration. Groups selected experimental topics grounded in real-world contexts, such as differences in thermal energy produced by firewood from different tree species, the thermal efficiency of a solar oven that uses no electricity, and variations in water filtration performance using different filtering materials. Based on their results, students engaged in thoughtful analysis and lively discussions.
The outcomes of the CSP will be presented at the GKA Academic Fair, to be held on Saturday, March 21 and Sunday, March 22, 2026. We warmly invite you to attend and see our students’ learning in action.
