G5 – Forestry School

第5学年　フォレストリースクール

　本日、5年生は県林政課・関連ボランティアの方々に来校していただきました。森林を保護する仕事や、森林を管理する仕事に使用する道具について学びました。その後、実際に道具を使って丸太を切り、各自がオリジナルドリンクコースターを作る体験をしました。有意義な学びの機会となり、児童全員が記念品を持ち帰り、この日の思い出として大切にしてくれることでしょう。

Today, Grade 5 was visited by volunteers from the Prefectural Forestry Division. They learned about the job of a forest ranger, and about the tools that forest rangers use to care for the forest. Then, they had an opportunity to use forestry tools to cut wooden logs which they used to craft their own personal drink coaster. It was an informative learning experience, and every student had a souvenir to take home as a memory of the event.
