Grade 4 – Social Studies – Exploring the School Water System

4年生社会　水はどこからくるの？

4年生は社会科の学習で、校内にある水道の蛇口を探す活動を行いました。

子どもたちは、「私たちの生活に欠かせない水は、どこでどのようにきれいにされているのだろう」という学習問題をもとに、水について学習を進めています。

また、学校のポンプ室も見学し、水が学校までどのように届けられ、蛇口につながっているのか、その仕組みについて理解を深めました。

Grade４ Social Studies Exploring the School Water System 

Grade 4 students took part in an activity for their Social Studies class in which they searched for water faucets around the school.

As part of their studies, the students are exploring the question, “Where does the water we use every day come from, and how is it cleaned?”

The students also visited the school’s pump room to learn how water is delivered to the school and connected to the faucets we use every day.
