G4 ELA 美しい虫・Beautiful bugs

４年生は調べ学習で、時系列ではないレポートを書きました。 ELA（英語科）の単元「美しい虫」の中で、4 年生は自分が選んだ節足動物についてさらに探究しました。子どもたちは、蝶、甲虫、蜂、テントウムシ、はう虫などに関する問いを立てました。次に、疑問をもとに調査を進め、さまざまな本やウェブサイトから情報を見つけました。児童は資料からメモを取ることに熱心に取り組んでいました。彼らはメモからレポートを書き、写真 を添えたポスターを作成しました。

Grade 4 students researched and wrote a non-chronological report. Based on the ELA reading unit, “Beautiful Bugs” the 4th graders learned more about an arthropod of their choice. Students compiled inquiry questions about butterflies, beetles, bees, ladybirds, and other kinds of creepy-crawlies. Then they used the questions to guide their research, finding information from various books and using online resources. The students worked hard on taking notes from the sources. From their notes they wrote their reports and created posters complete with pictures.
