G3 & G6 – Twin Class Buddies

G3・6年生 – ツインクラス活動　バディとの顔合わせ

GKA初等部の校舎は、オープンな教室学習空間として設計されています。3つの主要な校舎それぞれに2つの学年が配置されており、それらの学年は互いに頻繁に交流できるようにデザインされています。 本日、3年生と6年生が学ぶ校舎では、3年生たちが6年生の「バディ」と交流する顔合わせイベントが開催されました。3年生は上級生から色々なことを学ぶことができ、6年生は後輩たちにリーダーシップを発揮する機会を得ることができます。

本日のイベントでは、児童たちが自分の興味を紙に書き出し、それらを組み合わせることで大きな展示物を作りました。残りの時間には、6年生がボードゲームなど、2つの学年の絆を深めるために一緒に遊ぶ活動を提案しました。今年度、6年生と3年生が互いに多くのことを学び合えることを願っています！

G3 & G6 – Twin Class Buddies

GKA’s elementary campus is designed as an open classroom learning space.  Each of the three main buildings hosts two grade levels, and those grades are expected to frequently interact with each other.  Today, the building that houses grades 3 and 6 held a welcome event where the younger students could meet with their grade 6 ‘buddies’.  Grade 3 will benefit from the experience of their upper-classmen, while Grade 6 has an opportunity to show their leadership skills to their juniors.

At today’s event, students write down their interests on sheets of paper and combine them to make large displays.  With their remaining time, the Grade 6 shares planned activities such as board games which can be played together to deepen the bond between the two classes.  Hopefully, Grade 6 and Grade 3 will learn a lot from each other this year!
