G9-沖縄修学旅行 Okinawa School Trip
9月8日から11日までの4日間、
初日は沖縄到着後、ひめゆりの塔・
2日目は、一日を通して民泊先の方々と過ごしました。
3日目は民泊先の方々とのお別れの後、
4日間を通して、生徒たちは平和について学ぶだけでなく、
大きな問題もなく、
On the first day, after arriving in Okinawa, we visited the Himeyuri Monument and the Himeyuri Peace Museum. It was a valuable opportunity for the students to learn about the Battle of Okinawa and to reflect once again on the tragedy of war and the importance of peace. After that, we traveled to Yomitan Village, where the students stayed with local host families and experienced Okinawan daily life and culture.
On the second day, the students spent the whole day with their host families. They had opportunities to experience Okinawan nature and food culture while communicating with local people. These experiences gave them the chance to learn things that cannot always be learned in the classroom. Although some students were nervous at first, they gradually became comfortable thanks to the kindness and hospitality of their host families. At the farewell, many students seemed sad to say goodbye.
On the third day, after saying goodbye to their host families, we visited Roadside Station Kadena. Later, the students took part in a kayaking activity through the mangroves. While working together to paddle their kayaks, they were able to experience Okinawa’s beautiful natural environment up close and strengthen their friendships with their classmates.
Throughout the four-day trip, the students not only learned about peace, but also experienced Okinawan culture, nature, and the warmth of the local people. They also learned the importance of cooperation and acting responsibly as a group in an unfamiliar environment.
We are very happy that everyone was able to complete the trip safely without any major problems. We hope that the experiences and lessons from Okinawa will remain valuable memories for the students for many years to come.
